The Price Promise is the reason this is my first stop for tech at home. Spot the same product cheaper elsewhere and they match it, even after you have paid. I have used it a few times, and the best result was £70 back on a Samsung monitor I found cheaper online; the difference was refunded the same afternoon. That is £70 towards my next holiday.

I also rate the convenience: on many qualifying items you can order online and collect from a local store within the hour, which has spared me a delivery charge more than once.

Join the Perks Club

Who doesn't love a freebie? The Perks Club is the retailer's membership scheme, and members pick up discounts on top tech and appliances that everyone else misses, along with free subscriptions, vouchers and prize giveaways. With over 500 perks offered each year, there is nearly always something waiting in your account, so join before your first order rather than after it.

Use the Price Promise, before and after you buy

Spot the same product cheaper at a competitor and the retailer will match the price, even after you have bought. Click the 'Compare Prices' button on the product page to check, or get in touch with proof of the lower price. Competitor promo codes and voucher codes are honoured as well.

On big-ticket items such as TVs, laptops and appliances, a small percentage difference can put £50 to £100 back in your pocket, so the check is always worth making.

Shop the clearance, the eBay outlet and refurbished tech

The clearance sale offers up to 70% off end-of-line gadgets, kitchen appliances and tech accessories, and the stock is updated regularly, so it rewards a second look. Where the terms allow it, a promo code from our page can be added on top.

For bigger savings again, the eBay outlet sells refurbished and used items restored to near-new condition, including laptops, headphones and printers, with free delivery on every order. The main site's refurbished tech range covers phones and laptops at a fraction of the new price, and every item comes with a guarantee.

Order online, collect in store

Not spending enough for free home delivery? Choose free Click & Collect and pick your item up from a store at no extra cost. It is also the quickest way to secure a clearance or sale item before it sells out. Check local stock with the postcode tool first; if the item is already nearby, you can collect it the same day instead of paying for fast delivery.
