Which Star Signs are the Richest in 2021?
John Stirzaker·Feb 23, 2021
When it comes to making money moves, some people are better at getting cash in the bank than others – but maybe our star signs have something to do with it?
So, we’ve analysed Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires list to reveal which star sign is the most likely to hold a heap of the world’s wealth in 2021.
Though there are billionaires all over the zodiac, some star signs do seem to crop up more than others.
Libra babies lead the way, closely followed by the ten percent of people in the top 100 who are Aries – like internet leader Larry Page.
But it’s bad news for hopeful billionaire Sagittarians. Despite their generosity and a great sense of humour, only one person in the top 100 rich list has this sign.
The top earner on the table is Capricorn e-commerce champion and founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. With a net worth of $192.2 billion, he’s a massive $9 billion ahead of second runner up – 49-year-old SpaceX founder and Cancerian Elon Musk.
Despite it being the most common billionaire’s sign, no one in the top 17 had a birthday during the Libra season. American heir to the Walmart fortune, Alice Walton is the most prosperous Libra with a cushty net worth of $68.1 billion.
Ambition and greed aren’t classed as common traits among those born between 23rd September and 22nd of October, which is Libra season. However, they are often described as excellent leaders because they are perceived as diplomatic and outgoing.
The alleged competitive nature of Aries babies might account for their heavy population in the top 100, as they are known for wanting a challenging career and making aggressive investments to reap financial rewards.
Chinese businessman Lei Jun made his money by co-founding Xiaomi, one of the world’s largest smartphone companies. Coming in at 62nd on the list for his $26 billion, he is the only Sagittarius in the top 100.
Known for their optimism and love of freedom, a massive sense of spontaneity and independence might be holding them back from the top-dollar… or it might be pure chance only one ended up there.
There’s an equal number of Capricorns, Cancers and Geminis hitting the top spots, making them the joint third most likely sign to birth a billionaire.
American based entrepreneur and philanthropist made his first billion by the time he was 31 thanks to the online shopping site and its payment partner PayPal.
Sitting one place lower on the rich list than his sister is Gemini Jim Walton, another heir to the Walmart fortune. The eldest Walton brother Robson sits just below them both, with his lesser common Scorpio sign. Whilst their supermarket success is the most likely contributing factor to the family’s wealth, it is interesting to note that Alice – the Libra – is leading ahead of her brothers.
No one in the top 100 was based in the United Kingdom, meaning aspiring business leaders and entrepreneurs need to step up to make their money-making skills to contend with the big billionaires!
