What are your main responsibilities within the Design & Content Operations Team?
My main tasks at NVC include designing and creating images for both NetVoucherCodes and our sister site, Parent Bible. I’ve also been involved in the creation and maintenance of our Carp Craft game! I especially loved being a part of this exciting project as fishing is a hobby of mine so I was able to use a lot of my knowledge in the building process and am often sourcing and creating new images to keep the game updated.
Has your previous experience prepared you well for this role?
Coming from a building trade, I didn’t have much experience in design when I started working for NVC. But I was eager to learn new skills and quickly had a knack for designing. 8 years later, I’d like to think I’m pretty good when it comes to photoshop. The in-house training provided has developed my skills massively and I now feel super confident in my role.
Does NetVoucherCodes offer flexible ways of working?
As a busy dad with young children, I now work part-time for NVC, which means I have a great work/life balance. Going part-time was no issue. The team completely understood my reasoning and it means I am able to complete my tasks from home.
