Keeping your little ones fed and entertained during the holidays can be a daunting task for parents. And, with the cost of living increasing, some of you may be looking to cut back on meals during the school holidays.

The good news is that there are still ways to enjoy free days out and trips to your favourite restaurants without overspending on food.

To help families save money, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants around the UK are offering Kids Eat Free deals during school holidays throughout the year.

Morrisons

The next time you’re at Morrisons for your weekly food shop, stop by their cafe and enjoy the kids eat free deal

At Morrisons Cafes across the UK, you can get a free kids meal when you spend £4.99 on an adult meal with a piece of fruit, Kids Tropicana Orange, an apple drink or a bottle of water included! 

During term time this deal is usually available from 3pm daily, however, in half-term, you can enjoy it all day long! Just make sure your child is with you when you pay at the till and you’ll save yourself some money.

Asda

If you’re out and about this half term looking for somewhere cheap to eat, head over to your local Asda supermarket. kids can eat for just £1 all day, every day, with no adult, and spend at all Asda Cafes! Babies are also catered for with a free pouch of Ella’s Kitchen baby food included in the deal.

IKEA

Craving some IKEA meatballs? Take a trip to your favourite Swedish homeware store and your little ones will eat for less than £1!

All kids can enjoy a meal from the children’s menu for just 95p. Or, they can choose a combination meal that includes one hot meal, jelly, a soft drink and a piece of fruit for just £1.50! Make sure you always double-check this offer is available at your local IKEA before visiting to avoid disappointment.

Dunelm

It may come as a surprise, but if you need to stop for a bite to eat the next time you’re out shopping with the kids, Dunelm is the ideal place! Kids can get 1 mini main, 2 snacks and a drink for free when an accompanying adult spends £4 at their Pausa Cafes. 

You will find these cafes at Dunelm stores across the UK. Simply use the store locator to find your nearest one and take your kids along for some lunch on the house!

Sizzling Pubs

Fancy some pub grub from your local? Well, it’s good news for those of you looking to pinch those pennies. Sizzling Pubs across the UK are offering kids’ main meals for just £1 all day, Monday-Friday!

Pubs in England and Wales are offering this deal and it’s also available in Scottish Sizzling Pubs.

What’s more, did you know that this deal is not only limited to the school holidays? During term time, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 3pm and 7pm, you can get a kids’ main meal for just £1 with every adult main meal you purchase in the same transaction!

Bella Italia

If you’re looking for an affordable restaurant to visit with your family, Bella Italia is perfect. From 4pm – 6pm, Monday – Thursday, kids can enjoy 3 courses and fruit water for just £1 when you purchase an adult main meal! 

This deal is available on meals suitable for 2-11-year-olds, so almost every little one in your family is catered for.

If you’re looking for ways to keep the kids entertained while you’re eating, you can also ask for a free activity pack that includes child-friendly activities and colouring sheets.

Dobbies Garden Centres

Enjoy a family day out at your local Dobbies Garden Centre and save money with a free kids’ lunch. Stop by the restaurant, order yourself a main meal from 12pm and get a free kids’ meal and a drink from the children’s lunch menu! If there’s nothing on there that they fancy, don’t worry, there are loads of pick ‘n’ mix’ meals they can also choose from.

Hungry Horse Pubs

Get your mornings off to an affordable start during the holidays with free kids’ breakfasts at Hungry Horse Pubs. Buy an adult breakfast for just £3.49 and get up to two free breakies for your little ones. There are even free activity sheets available to keep them entertained while you eat!

Breakfast is served until 12pm every day so make sure you head down early before your family day out.

Beefeater, Table Table, Brewers Fayre Pubs & Whitbread Inns

After more free breakfast options? You’ll find them at Beefeater, Table Table, Brewers Fayre Pubs and Whitbread Inns. At these eateries, two kids under 16 can eat for free with every adult breakfast that you purchase. Spend just £9.99 on the unlimited adult breakfast and your two little ones will receive a free meal each! 

Angus Steakhouse

Fancy a steak? Stop by Angus Steakhouse while you’re out adventuring with your little ones this half term and get a kids’ meal on the house. Buy an adult main course Monday – Thursday from 12pm – 5pm and if your little one is under 10, they will eat for free! This deal is available throughout the school holidays so make sure you get your money’s worth while you can.

Future Inns

If you’re in Cardiff, Plymouth or Bristol, head down to Future Inns where kids under 5 can always eat for free with any meal purchased by an adult. This offer is available throughout half-term and school holidays and is extended to children under 12 at selected locations. Check with your local restaurant before visiting to see if your child qualifies.

The Real Greek

During your next city break, dine in on a Sunday at The Real Greek restaurant and receive a kid’s meal completely free of charge! This deal includes a free meal from the kids’ menu, a drink and an ice cream for children under 12. As long as each adult spends £10 on their food, your little ones will dine for free.

Cafe Rouge

If you’re visiting Cheshire Oaks, London or Salford this half term, cut back on your spending with free kids’ meals at Cafe Rouge. Children can choose 2 or 3 courses from the kid’s menu free of charge with every adult buys a main course.

SA Brains Pubs

Planning on taking your little one for a day out this Wednesday? Or do you just not fancy cooking at home? Why not check out your local S.A Brains Pub where kids can eat for just £1! 

Simply buy yourself a full-priced adult main meal and your little one can choose any main meal from the Little Dragons menu for just £1. This offer is valid all day, every Wednesday, so if you fancy a mid-week treat without overspending, this is perfect for your family.

Another option for those of you looking to keep costs down while holidaying in London this half term is Shrimp and Grill in Leicester Square.
