When did you join NetVoucherCodes?
It’s hard to believe but I first started as an apprentice at NetVoucherCodes way back in 2013! When I first joined, I started out in content operations, sourcing codes and loading them onto the site. An opportunity then came to create games & apps, and since I studying computing at college, I was super eager to build on those skills. That’s when I was eventually moved onto the development team.
What does your day-to-day look like?
These days, my daily tasks can vary! One of my main responsibilities is checking through the expired offers to see if any are still valid. Checking these daily means that no offers or codes slip through the net. I’m also in charge of updating our retailer pages with new content. I work directly with the content writers and create the images that you see on our retailer pages. However, one of my main roles is to manage our iOS and Android game, Carp Craft. I provide customer support to our users via the app stores, emails and Facebook groups.
What's your top tip for saving money online?
If you see something you want to buy online, wait a week before you buy it. If you still want it after a week, then go for it. Look for voucher codes online at NVC or through your student discount apps or add the item to your basket. If you leave it there for a couple of days, sometimes it can go down in price or they offer you a discount to entice you back! Also, if the site you're using offers a discount for signing up for the newsletter, snap it up. These are always useful and are great for saving on first-time orders.
